Hungarian Marriage Project
Hungarian Marriage Project
The Hungarian Marriage Project was established in 2010 and currently contains nearly 65,000 indexed marriage records. Inspired by the success of the Poznań Project, this resource was built specifically to assist researchers in navigating the complexities of Hungarian ancestry.
We view this project as a vital finding aid rather than a primary source. To ensure the highest level of genealogical accuracy, we strongly recommend using the project as an aid to locate and verify the original records whenever possible.
As an entirely volunteer-driven endeavor, the project’s growth depends on the passion and precision of the genealogical community. We actively encourage both seasoned researchers and newcomers to contribute.
To the right, you will find an interactive map designed to track our current geographical reach across the former Kingdom of Hungary.
Directly below is a comprehensive, searchable list of all localities and parishes that have been fully indexed and integrated into the project database .
